How Persona Recruit AI Screening Works

Resume ranking, candidate scoring and interview summaries — with recruiters in the loop.

For recruiting leaders and hiring managers

Persona Recruit is the engine behind our shortlists. It reads, ranks and summarises so our recruiters can spend their time talking to people. This guide explains exactly what it does, what it does not do, and where a human always sits.

The four steps

Every requisition moves through the same four steps, and each one is inspectable — you can always see why a candidate ranked where they did.

  • Structure: the requirement becomes must-haves, weights and disqualifiers
  • Rank: resumes are scored against that structure with cited evidence
  • Summarise: screening conversations condense into a short brief
  • Validate: a recruiter interviews before anything reaches your inbox

Scores carry their evidence

A score with no explanation is not useful to a hiring manager. Every score points back to the lines in the resume or screening notes that produced it, so it can be challenged.

Matching, not filtering people out

Persona Recruit is tuned to surface strong candidates who keyword search would miss — adjacent skills, different titles, comparable platforms — rather than to narrow the pool aggressively.

Humans make every decision

No candidate is rejected, advanced or submitted by the engine alone. Recruiters own the shortlist, and hiring managers own the hire. That is the design, not a limitation.

A record of how each shortlist was built

Ranking criteria, scores and recruiter notes are kept together for each requisition, so your team can revisit how a shortlist was assembled.

Key takeaways
  • Structure the requirement first
  • Every score shows its evidence
  • Built to surface candidates, not exclude them
  • Recruiters and managers decide, always
